Beijing is the capital and political nerve center of China with a long
and glorious history. The countless tourism resources including
historical sites and natural landscapes are attractive to every tourist.
Would you like to join the group of Beijing tours to experience the imperial atmosphere? Never hesitate!
If you are traveling in a tight time and only have a half day free time,
then never spend the precious time in your hotel, having a Beijing Half Day Private Tour
will be a better choice. And if this is your first time to Beijing, the
Forbidden City is the place you should not miss. When restoration work
on Emperor Qianlong's retirement quarters is completed, an even more
jaw-dropping sight awaits: an East-meets-West artistic Nirvana. Behind
walls more than 10 meters high, and within the 50 meters moat, life in
the palace was dictated by complex rules and rituals. Entrance was
denied to ordinary people, but the gigantic gate way leads today’s
tourists to a fascinating display of Chinese cultural history in what is
probably the best-preserved site of classical Chinese architecture. In
1421, after 17 years of construction, the Ming Emperor Yongle moved into
the Forbidden City. Up to the founding of the republic in 1911-a period
covering the reign of 24 emperors from the Ming Dynasty until the last
emperor Puyi-the palace was the imperial residence and center of the
Middle Kingdom. It has 9,000 rooms in which an estimated 8,000 to 10,000
people lived, including 3,000 eunuchs, as well as maids and concubines,
all within an area of 70 hectares.
The former imperial palace
covering the area of 780,000 square meters is not only great
treasure-house with the collections of Ming and Qing royal treasure but
also the recorded in the Ming and Qing Imperial History of the fresh
file in recent years.
The Forbidden City
is located in the center of Beijing city, surrounded by some other
famous tourist sites like: Tiananmen Square, Tiananmen Tower, National
Theatre, National Museum, Working People's Cultural Palace (Imperial
Ancestral Temple), Zhongshan Park (Altar), Beihai Park, Jingshan Park
and the well known Commercial Street – Beijing Wangfujing. So before or
after visiting the Forbidden City, tourists could also enjoy the view
and different scenery of many other destinations. All of these will
certainly leave a deep impression on your Beijing Travel. Beautiful
Beijing welcomes tourists from all over the world!
