Beijing Panda Zoo

Beijing Zoo is located in Xizhimenwai Street Xicheng District Beijing and adjacent to the Beijing Exhibition Hall and the Moscow Restaurant in east. The Beijing Zoo covers almost 86 hectares including 8.6 hectares water area. From 1906 to now, the Beijing zoo has had more than hundred years’ history. Now there are more than 450 kinds of animals including 4500 animals and more than 500 kinds of marine organism including more than 10000. Every year, the Beijing Zoo accepts more than 6 million tourists. Beijing zoo is one of the largest zoos in China and well known in the world.

It has special sculpt and be selected as the “Beijing Ten Great Buildings” and “Beijing Good Quality Building” that year. Beijing Panda Zoo covers 10000 square meters and has 1452 square meters construction area. The main building presents voluminous bamboo joint shape. There are 11 half-round arch rings spreading along the outspread direction. They symbol the 11^th Asian Games. The southeast side has the entrance of the hall and the northwest has the exit of the hall. There are three pubic exhibition rooms in room. The top of the exhibition hall overhangs 12 glass fiber reinforced plastics big balls to adjust the indoor sound effect. The functionality section includes treating room, feeding room, fresh bamboo store room, delivery room and supervisory control room and so on. The outdoor activity space is ups and downs. There are wooden rest frame and playing facilities. On the footpath, there are white and black cobblestones. Panda is the unique animal in China and it is lovely and funny. They attract many tourists from home and abroad.

In 2008, The Olympic Panada Zoo was built. There are with pandas from Sichuan Wolong Panda protection area temporary. The original panda hall is named Asian Panda Hall and the two halls are opened up to the public together.
